What You’ll Be Doing:

• Resolving a high volume of tickets with the appropriate troubleshooting tools
• Monitoring and managing workload through ticketing and work order systems.
• responsible for remote troubleshooting with customers and dispatching only when necessary.
• Assisting in the management of stock, accountability of cables and equipment, and reporting needs
• being the point of contact when a network outage is reported.
• Helping with testing and certifying equipment
• Facilitating repairs with the construction team and local field technicians after a network outage
• Monitor and manage work loading through ticketing and work order systems.

Job Requirements:

• 5 years of fiber troubleshooting experience
• Experience with troubleshooting tools such as OTDR, PON power meter, and Visual Fault Locators.
• General understanding of routing, switching, and fiber optic transmission/equipment
• Comfortable with reading outdoor engineering prints of network layout
• Familiar with installing, racking, and activation of new equipment.
• Capable of solving and restoring service to commercial customers
• Experience with fusion splicing fiber drop cables. Access and Distribution fiber cables along with customer drops at the customer premises.
• Comfortable with some provisioning of DWDM equipment.
